It took my aunt a year and two months to finish this highly detailed mural of a waterfall centering a yen forest.

After visiting my aunt in Hebei, China this June and seeing the conditions she is currently living in during the 21st century, I cringed. She lives by herself in a beaten up shack located in the village suburbs of a city that lacks necessities vital to life. But despite the poor shape of her surroundings, she finds joy in crafting and sewing murals that take at minimum a month to over a year to finish.
I am selling my aunts art pieces for her in hopes that the money will help her live on her own in a setting that is the bare minimum of comfort. Thank you.
