    Description

1944 Coca Cola print advertisement Halloween Ladies Home Journal 14 x 10
Full page illustrated print advertisement from November 1944 edition of the Ladies Home Journal for Coca-Cola soda, features a wholesome illustration of two teenagers at a costume party "bobbing" for an apple hung on a string from the ceiling, while their friends and family watch. The girl is dressed as a Majorette, while the boy is dressed in Western Cowboy gear.
In between them are a boy dressed as a classic clown and a girl dressed in an "Annie Oakley" outfit, both holding the classic Coca-cola bottles. To the left is a galvanized bucket with bottles of soda pop and a table above with open pop bottles. To the right an older woman dressed as a gypsy seems to be kneeling on a couch, below her is a "pirate" also carrying a soda bottle, while another boy dressed as a clown leans in from the edge with his hand held to his mouth as if he's encouraging his friends playing the game.
The legend at the top reads "Have a "Coke" = Join in the fun", while below the picture is a title that continues, "...or adding life and sparkle to Halloween". A block of text below begins, "What's a young folks' party without refresh-ment? "Coke" is naturally a member in excellent standing with any group of youngsters." To the right of the block of text is a reproduction of the classic "curvy" coke bottle and the classic lettering on a red circle that come to represent this product.
In good condition with minor wear, edge creasing, and staining from red and blue ink transferring from adjacent pages.
