Anniversary! Chevrolet debuted the “Malibu Cruiser” at the 2001 SEMA show in Las Vegas, that was the same year the first “Fast and Furious” film hit the screen. The Malibu was designed to show a presence in the tuner car market and was featured in several car magazines including MotorTrend and was the COVER CAR for the 2002 February issue of HCI (Hot Compacts & Imports) magazine!  Even the VIN on this vehicle is unique 1G1NE52MOV60019EX (ALL VIN's end with NUMBERS instead of LETTERS making this VIN truly unique) and is valid with GM and we have a clean and clear Nebraska title and the car can be licensed and plated.
The heart of the Malibu is a V-6 engine that has been built and turbocharged, mated to an automatic transmission. The CUSTOM features on the car are ENDLESS: The interior has many carbon fiber parts and has custom Front and Rear Sparco Bucket seating with a console running from front to rear. The Malibu has an amazing stereo system w/ 10" subs behind the back seats / 19" Custom Aluminum Wheels / Ground Effects Kit / Spoilers / Custom Front & Rear Bumpers / Sunroof / Polished Intake / headers / 3” Lowering Strut Suspension / Carbon Fiber “COWL” Hood. This car was built as a CUSTOM SEMA SHOW CAR and even spent time in a local car museum where the car belongs.
Most of the manufactures NEVER offer the CONCEPT cars to the public, so this is truly a UNIQUE opportunity to own and collect a piece of American Automotive History. Again, notice the unique VIN with an EX at the end. We were told the ex stands for experimental.  This Malibu Cruiser belongs in someone’s Car Collection. We have owned this Concept Car for 5 years and have enjoyed displaying it in the museum and taking to Car Shows. It is unique and gets a lot of attention everywhere it goes. As nice and rare of a car that it is there are a few disclosures we want to make. The car is 25 years old and shows some wear, there are a few chips in the paint mostly noticeable on the front bumper where it sits so low. Some of the custom interior shows wear and the engine is a little noisier than we would like. Our mechanic believes there is some minor piston slap that really isn’t affecting the car (we have driven it over 1,500 miles since we owned it and have had it on the interstate at interstate speeds) other than the noise. We are hoping to find a collector that appreciates this car for what it is rather than someone who is going to put it on the street daily and destroy a piece of American Automotive History.
