The plug expands from 4mm to a maximum 5mm
The hole for the cable is about 7mm max on the bottom set screw and 5mm on the top screw

Plugs can be stacked or another 4mm banana plug can be plugged into the knob
Tip is a little over 1/2" long
There is a hole in the nob part of the connector. You will see it in the pictures with a wire coming out of the back of the knob. You can put up a wire through that hole and run the wire out the back of the knob. If you need a thicker gauge wire you can easily widen the hole with progressively bigger drill bits. Then fan out the individual strands so it lays on the area around the hole. Then just tighten the needle into place and you can run small gauge wire if need be. Once the connector is tightened and locked into place the wire wont jiggle out. If its real small put a dot of solder on the end of the wire to make it thicker.
