Bruxelles Boy Copper Souvenir Dish Town Hall Maison Du Roi Iris Brussels Belgium. As you can see there are more themes here than I could fit in description. The Yellow Iris, the national flower of Belgium. Town Square or Grand Place (Grote Markt) featuring City Hall or Town Hall and the Maison Du Roi (also called the King's House and Bread House or Broodhuis, now a museum). An Arrow through two hearts (not sure what significance this has for Belgium or Brussels but I'm willing to bet there is something? Perhaps the Union of Flanders and Wallonia, with Brussels nearly in the center?). And of course that well known oddity of a urinating lad, the Bruxelles Boy (Maneken Pis).
If I had to date this I would say 1960s. Style wise it can't be much newer. And if you look closely at town square you can make out the shapes of certain cars. Even though they are shorter than a millimeter I could swear going by what details there are that they look like 1950s or 1960s European cars!
There are a couple cracks in this dish unfortunately but nothing too major (subjective, but they are really only noticeable quite close) and not likely to get worse. They are where the hearts overlap at the top, as well as just below the 'X' on the left heart.
There are also a few nicks and dings, again nothing major but please refer to photos to make your own assessment.
The finish is very cuprescent, I call it copper from appearances. But the texture of the metal especially on the back looks very cast like. I don't know if copper can be cast normally so I suppose it could be bronze? Either way something with copper in it or on it.
