DeWitt Tree Wrap

Instructions:
Starting at bottom, cover bottom 6" of trunk two or three times to insure adequate protection from mowers and trimmers.
Wrap balance of trunk, being sure to overlap material about 1/2".
Stop wrapping where branches fork, then pull end through the last layer around the tree.
Our Note:
We recommend wrapping small trees every fall and removing the wrap in the spring. The winter protection will help the tree from splitting due to the freeze-thaw cycle of sap (winter sunscald). Leaving the wrap on during the growing season can attract pests and disease. If you are looking for mower protection, better products include vinyl tree wrap or a tree guard (best). If you wish to leave your wrap on year-round, we'd recommend
rewrapping/
replacing the wrap every year to provide for tree diameter growth.
