It was the last Rs 5 note in circulation at the time of independence of Bangladesh. As the bank were looted so these notes were withdrawn and relced by red/ orange notes of the same design.
This note and the red/ orange note features the name of the central bank and the promissory note in  Bangla script which was the main spoken language of East Pakistan. The discontentment of the populace of East Pakistan had many reasons and the language issue was considered one of the major issues.
