    Description

This is a keynote from the last series of United Pakistan before East Pakistan seceded to become Bangladesh. This note carries the promissory note in two languages Bengali and Urdu. In fact language was one of the major issues which resulted in the break up of country and a bloody civil war in 1971.
The reverse features boats and jute field both themes from then East Pakistan.
This is a keynote for collectors of both Pakistan and Bangladesh and is rare in this condition.
Please note this bank note is green and it was changed to a light blue shade of the same design when large quantities were looted from State Bank offices and banks.
