Description
This is a 10x7 framed two sided page of advertising out of a 1948 magazine. On one side it features a advertisement for Coca-Cola. On the other side it features a Matson Cruise Lines advertising of a cruise to Hawaii on the ocean liner SS Lurline. The Coca-Cola advertisement talks about buying Coca-Cola in your friendly service station any time you are out driving. It features a price of five cents and a old style vending machine in the background. The other side features a cruise to Hawaii on the SS Lurline. I did some research on the SS Lurline. A interesting fact I found was in 1934 Amelia Earhart rode the Lurline from Los Angeles to Honolulu with her Lockeed Vega airplane secured to its deck during December 22-27, 1934. After serving as a troop carrier in World War Two it was refitted and provided first class - only service from the American mainland to Hawaii from 1948 to 1962. This framed advertising would be of interest to anyone who collects Coca-Cola advertising or anyone who is interested in history or ocean cruises. You could choose which side of the page you wanted to display. I offer speedy shipping and combined shipping with the purchase of more than one item. Please check out my eBay store for more great Coca-Cola items.
